A day out on the town or towns I should say!

Well a very nice weekend and we still Sunday after naps left:) Yesterday was a busy day for our family. We went to Herzog farms and picked strawberries. They are scrumscious really! Laura had a blast after she figured out she could eat them though she wasn't much help. Addison too had a good time she sat in the rows and scooted a long picking strawberries and trying them, "maybe this time I will like them." Addie Lynn does not like fruits or veggies. Strange cuz Laura, Kris and I love them??? HMMM?
After strawberry picking we went to Phelps Mill Festival. It was a good time, we ran into some friends, purchased a snow cone from Uncle Sam and Grandpa at the boyscout stand and watched a "buddy" or we would call clown. Laura called him a buddy, not sure why.
After Phelps we went for a short car ride and ended up in Battle Lake and stopped at Granny's Pantry and pick out lots of candy. The girls loved it there.
Then our last stop was Fergus we had supper with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Sam always a good time.
So we had a busy day and it was a lot of fun. :)

Taco night!

Well at our household Taco night is probably once a week. Kris love 'em, I love 'em and the girls eat them better than a lot of things. So tonight we had ground turkey taco's. (They were really good actually!) Anyway, a little side note to this story: The girls and I have been home all day (wed) because they are fighting some kind of stomache bug with a bad case of diaherra. Anyway, in the middle of supper I was prompted by a few different things to remove Addie Lynn and go change her once again. Poor babes bottom is sooo red. Anyway, Laura has been very helpful today getting diaper cream, wash clothes, towels whatever it may be. Anyway this time Laura yells from the kitchen, "Do you need anything?" I should have known because the question was not followed by little running footsteps to me regardless of my answer. Sure enough the quite 3 minutes that I took to change Addison was very precious time to Laura. Just as Addie and I were leaving the bedroom Laura runs to me and says," I made my own taco!" Very proud of course. "I made it but didn't cook it, it is good! I am a good maker!" Hillarious trying hard to not bust out laughing we went to the kitchen and much to my surprise she DID make her own with sour cream (only on the soft shell), cheese and the soft shell. It was rolled up nice and there wasn't even that big of a mess. Nothing like her father's messes in the kitchen! And then she flings the "taco" to show me and yep the cheese all flys out the open end of the taco. She had worked soooo hard!

FISHING

Had to share pics of Laura fishing for the first time with her new fishing rod she got for her birthday from her Dad. She had waited so patiently since her birthday until Great Grandma Iverson's birthday to go fishing. For those of you that don't know those dates 11 days. So very good for a 3 year old I think. It was a rainy, blustery day, but they were going to do this! Laura did catch her first fish, a sunny I believe. She was very excited. She did touch it only after Dad kissed it and mom and Addison touched it too! I have a feeling fishing is going to a great father daughter passtime!!!

Laura wants a dog!

So it happened she asked, "Mom I want a puppy." Now for those of you who don't know. Kris and I have different views on dogs and their place or not their place with the family... so I am electing NO DOGS IN THIS FAMILY. But how do you tell a little girl that... so I happened to be reading the Sunday paper when I saw one of those ads for plates you can buy that are painted with different scenes etc. Well this plate was painted with a dog. (Not sure of the breed.) Anyway, I said I got a puppy for you and I cut it out and gave it to her. Well she was tickled. (I think I got lucky.) She looked at picture and I asked her, "What are you going to name your new puppy?" She says, "Look at her ears, I think Rabbit!" Just awesome to be able to entertain her so easily still.
